Stacey Roberts is a nationally recognized children’s author, producer, and songwriter known for bringing stories to life through music, movement, and joyful connection.
His journey began at Father Joe’s Villages in San Diego, where he spent a year reading aloud to children. With his beloved puppet Reggie Rapasaurus by his side, Stacey quickly became a beloved figure. Children would talk directly to Reggie, opening up and connecting in ways that made story time feel magical.
That spark became a mission:
"United We Read, Together We Grow."
Stacey co-created the Reggie Rapasaurus music with composer William F. Harris, crafting songs that support literacy, equity, and kindness. Reggie is no ordinary dinosaur—he's got a real aptitude for reading and a whole lot of heart.
Stacey has performed at libraries, bookstores, Head Start events, and literacy celebrations. His appearances include:
He’s also presented at the University of San Diego’s Graduate Teacher Program, where his storytelling and music inspired future educators. Together with Bill Harris, he even co-wrote the joyful Head Start anthem, "It’s a Head Start Day."
While Stacey hasn’t yet traveled internationally, his music has reached a global audience—streamed on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify across the U.S. and beyond.
“The future is so bright, Reggie needs sunglasses!”
